Even in our day-to-day work, it is a matter of the heart for us to support people professionally and also personally. One way we do this is by finding the job that best suits each employee and applicant. Our commitment does not stop there, however, as a suggestion for improvement from our colleague Carolina Wahl makes clear. The idea of taking one day off a year from work to devote to an charitable purpose was enthusiastically received by the entire company and was also awarded a prize by the management. Our employees live their profession, which they also see as a vocation.
Together with branch manager Sebastian Stiller, she is now also launching the pilot project, which is being carried out in cooperation with theSchlaU School took place. The aim of the analog lessons is to help young refugees acquire a German school-leaving certificate so that they can then enter the labor market more easily. In order to support this decisive contribution to integration, our colleagues contributed their specialist expertise in a targeted manner. On a special training day, the participants learned how to prepare professional application documents and also practiced job interviews together.
The kick-off event was a complete success. All participants were very enthusiastic and have now taken a big step towards the future. This whets the appetite for more, and so other colleagues have already in turn Charity Days agreed to share their knowledge on a voluntary basis as well.
