The world of work is changing rapidly - and temporary work is no exception. Artificial intelligence, automated matching processes and digital contract processing are no longer a vision of the future, but an integral part of modern personnel services. Franz & Wach starts right here: With consistent digitalization, we create more efficiency and flexibility for companies and applicants.
Traditionally, the temporary employment industry was characterized by time-consuming manual processes: Applications were sifted through by hand, jobs were assigned manually, appointments were coordinated by telephone and employment contracts were printed out and sent by post. This was not only time-consuming, but also prone to errors.
Things look different today. AI-supported systems analyze applications in seconds and match them with suitable jobs. The initial contact can be automated so that applicants receive feedback more quickly. Appointments for job interviews can be organized digitally, which makes the entire process much easier for companies and candidates.
Automated processes make many things easier, but they do not replace the human factor. Temporary work thrives on personal exchange, individual advice and the ability to understand not only CVs but also people. Digital tools support our recruiters by reducing administrative tasks - leaving more time for the essentials: filling vacancies optimally.
An algorithm can recognize professional qualifications, but soft skills, personal motivation or the ability to work in a team remain a matter for a personal interview. This is exactly where our experienced team comes in to find the best solution for applicants and companies.
The demands on the labor market have changed drastically. Many companies now have to react more quickly and flexibly to new market conditions. Fixed personnel planning over long periods of time has become rarer. Digital processes help us to respond to personnel requirements at short notice - quickly, efficiently and accurately.
Digitization also offers great advantages for applicants. Anyone applying for a job today often receives a response within a few hours and, thanks to digital processes, can soon start their new job. Long waiting times and cumbersome paperwork are a thing of the past.
The search for skilled workers remains one of the biggest challenges for companies. In theory, increased recruitment from abroad would be a solution. In practice, however, there are considerable hurdles. A shortage of housing in conurbations and bureaucratic hurdles make it difficult to attract qualified international applicants to Germany. Even within the EU, it is becoming increasingly difficult to attract candidates.
The situation is even more problematic for skilled workers from third countries. Temporary employment agencies are not yet allowed to actively recruit in these countries. Even companies that try to do so are faced with long approval processes that often make rapid integration impossible.
Traditional temporary work for simple unskilled jobs will change, but will not disappear. It will remain an important bridge to the labor market - especially for people with less than straightforward CVs or skilled workers from abroad. It also often offers attractive earning opportunities: From March 1, 2025, the minimum wage for temporary workers will be 14.53 euros per hour.
The integration of the long-term unemployed or refugees also holds enormous potential. However, more flexible solutions are needed here. At present, placement often fails due to excessively long qualification processes or complicated support programs. Digital learning platforms and unbureaucratic support structures could help here and offer even more people a real opportunity.
Temporary work is evolving - and digital processes will play an increasingly important role. They enable faster placement times, leaner processes and more flexibility. While today there are often several days between applying and starting work, this period could shrink to just a few hours in the future.
But despite all the technology, one thing remains indispensable: people. Algorithms optimize processes, but in the end it's always about people. And this is precisely why personal support at Franz & Wach remains a central component of our strategy.
