The timing was well chosen when Johannes Bemmerer about three years ago for a dual study at Franz & Wach. We were in the start-up phase of shaping the leadership model and employer brand of the future, and so he experienced the entire process first-hand, which led him to develop an ever greater interest in the topic of corporate leadership. Since everything at Franz & Wach revolves around the employee, he quickly realized that leadership by no means only works towards financial key figures, but must contribute just as much to the added value of the employees. With his final thesis, the Bachelor thesishe finally seized the opportunity to turn his attention to this topic in depth.
As the central starting point of his investigations, he laid out the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This term from American business literature considers the social responsibility that companies bear in economic, environmental and social terms. The last aspect in particular involves optimal working conditionswhich also take into account the requirements of each employee's private life.
To get closer to his research goal, he pored through stacks of reference books looking for examples of success that companies from all over the world had implemented for their employees and where he saw an opportunity to transfer them to Franz & Wach and thus create added value for his colleagues. Now, he is also currently focusing on the as-is analysis of all measures that Franz & Wach has already implemented or that are in the planning stage. With the knowledge from both areas, he is then working on finding promising solutions. Recommendations for action for his company.
"In order to be prepared for the future, a company must realize today that employees are the decisive factor for economic success," explains Johannes Bemmerer. "Creating an optimal working environment is thus not a nice side aspect, but of fundamental importance."
