New collective agreement regulates industry surcharges for temporary workers in the chemical industry

The Mining, Chemical and Energy Industrial Union (IG BCE) has reached an agreement with the representatives of the personnel service providers, consisting of the Federal Employers' Association of Personnel Service Providers (BAP) and the Negotiating Association for Temporary Employment (VGZ), on an adjustment of the industry surcharge collective agreements for temporary workers in the chemical industry.

These amount to the following percentage surcharges depending on the pay groupings:

Pay groups 1 and 2

  • 15% after six weeks
  • 20% after three months
  • 30% after five months
  • 45% after seven months
  • 50% after new months (53% from 01.07.2018).
  • 67% after 15 months

Pay groups 3 to 5

  • 10% after six weeks
  • 14% after three months
  • 21% after five months
  • 31% after seven months
  • 35% after new months
  • 45% after 15 months

Pay groups 6 to 9

  • 4% after six weeks
  • 6% after three months
  • 8% after five months
  • 16% after seven months
  • 20% after new months
  • 24% after 15 months
