Temporary wages are rising much faster than the cost of living in Germany. An end to this development is not yet in sight, and the next wage increase will already follow next year.
With the rate increase, even low-skilled workers will earn better in the future
Life in Germany became around 0.9 percent more expensive in 2014 than in the previous year. This is shown by the Consumer Price Index, which is from the Federal Statistical Office is determined and monitors the price development of goods and services. The Wage increase of the BAP/DGB collective agreementwhich is applied at Franz & Wach, was significantly higher in the comparable period.
For example, the hourly wage in the lowest pay group (EG1) was still 8.19 euros* in 2013, but in the following year it was already 8.50 euros - which already corresponds to an increase of 3.5 percent up to this point - and finally 8.80 euros from April 2015. While consumer prices are expected to rise even less in 2015, another wage increase has already been signed and sealed in the temporary staffing sector. From June 1, 2016, an hourly wage of 9.00 euros will already apply to the lowest pay group in the BAP/DGB collective agreement. This will mean a Wage increase of around 10 percent in a period of only two and a half years. Incidentally, this does not even take into account the industry surcharge rates, which can raise hourly wages by up to 150 percent.
