Labor market: Will we break the employment record?

The number of people in employment could reach a historic all-time high in the current year, benefiting strongly from the increase in temporary jobs.

Arbeitsmarkt: Knacken wir den Beschäftigungsrekord?
The number of employees continues to rise rapidly.

Everything is a question of perspective. For example, whether the Number of people in employment has risen or fallen in January. Or, to put it more symbolically, whether the start of the year merely saw a run-up to a new Record to break.

According to Federal Statistical Office the number of people in employment in Germany fell slightly in January compared with the previous month to 43.6 million, a decrease of 0.8 percent. However, as this is mainly due to seasonal and therefore temporary factors, a comparison with the same month of the previous year is useful. Here, an increase in employment of 1.4 percent indicates an extremely positive development, especially as this is already taking place at an excellent level.

But the most exciting question is what is yet to come. The Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce The prospects for the future are extremely attractive, as it is estimated that in 2017 350,000 new jobs are created, of which around 100,000 are contributed by business-related service providers, to which the Temporary staffing industry heard. The crackling of the 44 million limit is therefore within reach and could herald a new chapter in Germany's modern employment miracle.

Of course, this development will be reflected in equally attractive job opportunities at Franz & Wach. You can already apply for this now, via our Job exchange or per Unsolicited application in the branch of your region.
