Franz & Wach supports charity event in Berlin

A great charity event took place in Berlin at the beginning of July 2021. Under the motto "Never Give Up", the association "Helfen durch Fußball e.V." mobilized celebrities from the world of soccer and upscale gastronomy to fight together for the good cause. Two events were held to raise funds for the German bone marrow donation organization DKMS and the JOMA project (support for families with seriously ill children).

On Saturday, 3.7., there was a gastronomic evening by and with TV chef Ralf Zacherl, star chef Markus SemmlerCOOKBOXRonny Mechnich. Musical accompaniment was provided by saxophonist Charly Janke. Gaby Papenburg, known among others from SAT1 Frühstücksfernsehen, led through the evening in a sovereign and entertaining manner. Between the individual courses there was a live connection to the founders of the JOMA project and an Einspieler of the DKMS. Afterwards, the chefs' jackets were auctioned off.

On Sunday they met on the sports field of the FC Internationale Berlin 1980 e. V. to a charity match. The kick-off was conducted by the Schöneberg district mayor Angelika Schöttler. Among those on the pitch were ex-professional soccer players Marcus Urban, Chiquinho da Mangueira, Peter Wynhoff, Kalle Pflipsen, Ronny Nicol, Michael Wiesinger, "Tusche" Mattuschka and sports presenter Markus Othmer. Also from Franz & Wach, our colleagues Bartosz Wolff and Martin Oschmann. Again, Gaby Papenburg skillfully led through the program, which ended with a raffle of original jerseys.

The game ended in a close victory for Oschi & Friends. The top scorer was the only woman on the field, new discovery Caroline E. Heil. The spectators and players enjoyed a wonderful, sunny day with high spirits, wonderful moves and great goals. But the most important thing on Sunday was also the good cause, namely collecting donations for DKMS and the JOMA project.

As a supporter and proud employer, we would like to thank everyone involved and especially our colleague Martin Oschmann for this wonderful campaign! Martin is the first chairman of the association Helping through Football e.V. and we are very happy to support such social commitment wherever we can.
