Through temporary employment, caregivers can take advantage of several benefits

Zeitarbeit in der Pflegebranche

Franz & Wach has been addressing the staff shortage in the care sector since 2009. The Shortage of skilled workers is in the health care has existed for many years. Even during the economic crisis of 2008/2009, when short-time working was the order of the day in the metal industry and many other sectors, demand for nursing staff remained stable.

Even then it was true that Personnel service providers offer good conditions to the workforce can. Paid wages are often higher in temporary employment than for comparable staff in clinics and nursing homes. This is also confirmed by the article "How temporary employment agencies are shaking up the market for care workers" in the Handelsblatt of April 3, 2018.

What is even more important to many employees, however, is that there is no unpaid overtime or double shifts when they are employed through a temporary employment agency. The temporary employment agency protects its employees.

Many nurses have also realized that temporary work not only allows them to experience different facilities, but also gives them a say in when and where they are assigned. These advantages describe Caregiver Uwe Goldbach during an interview for the TV station MDR.

It is therefore a Win-win situation for caregivers and temporary employment agenciesThis is made possible by the sustained high demand for nursing staff. In our estimation, this will not change any time soon, despite all the efforts of the Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn despite this. The planned 8,000 nursing positions and the simplified recognition of foreign qualifications in the nursing sector only address the symptoms without solving the problem.

As a result, more and more care workers will probably recognize the advantage they derive from employment with a reputable personnel service provider with experience in the care sector. Or as Sylvia Bühler, board member at the Verdi trade union and responsible for nursing there, puts it: "I can't accuse switchers to temporary work of being aware of their market value, wanting to earn more money and work under better conditions." (Handelsblatt)
