IG Metall stimmt 48 Monaten Überlassungsdauer zu
Joy among the tariff partners

The expansion of the Maximum transfer duration in the metal and electrical industry on 48 months is about to be concluded. Following the agreement between IG Metall and the employers' association Gesamtmetall, the official decision is now pending as part of negotiations on industry surcharges.

The agreement makes it clear that IG Metall also recognizes the benefits of the extended maximum temporary employment period (MTT) for employees and is paving the way for a significantly extended period. Since temporary workers in other sectors are still affected by the current 18-month limit, it is to be hoped that the German government will draw appropriate conclusions and apply the extension of the HÜD to all areas of employee leasing in the future.
